The use of the absorded glass mat separators not only increase the cyclic capacity but also increases the lifespan of the battery and allows it to be discharged and recharged more often. the sealed construction ensures no leakage of fluids and allows the battery to be fitted in any orientation.

How do you get the best out of your leisure battery?

A battery is a storage device, it holds energy which is supplied on demand. However, this process can only work if the battery is given the correct care and maintenance.

It is like a bank account, it needs to have a regular and often input to enable it to supply any outgoings. Once it is empty it can no longer fulfil its purpose.

• It is recommended that you take your battery off the caravan every 4 to 6 weeks and charge it on a stand alone charger to keep your battery 100% charged.
• Purchase a bettery with the highest ampere hour (Ah) capacity possible, but remember larger capacity must mean larger physical size and or weight.
• Do not wait until the 'day before the next required usage'.
• A motor mover takes out much more energy than normal on board appliances. This must be taken into accont when buying a new battery.
• Never leave the battery in a partially or fully discharged state.
• When not in use for a period of over 3 weeks, fully recharge the battery.
• Always use extreme care when working with batteries, as they contain hazardous substances. Ensure you protect yourself by wearing goggles, rubber gloves and and apron.
• For recharging, a high quality intelligent 3 stage charger is recommended, this reduces the risk of overcharging the product and damaging the internal components of the battery.
• Store in a cool dry place in an upright condition.
• Always recharge in a well ventilated area.
