Description

Main Description

An excellent selection of high quality leisure plus battery designed for use in the leisure industry. It is NCC verified and has an NCC classification of B or C (depending upon model) making it ideal for use with electrical hook-up with minimal off grid habitation. The high carbon content in the negative plate increases charge acceptance which improves performance. The improved double layer separators which includde a polyester fibre soft layer help give it a longer life span and the large electrolyte reservoir gives it an increased cycle count.

How do you get the best out of your leisure battery?

A battery is a storage device; it holds energy which is supplied on demand. However, this process can only work if the battery is given the correct care and maintenace.

It is like a bank account, it needs to have a regular and often input to enable it to supply any outgoings. Once it is empty it can no longer fulfil its purpose.

  • It is recommended that you take your battery off the caravan every 4 to 6 weeks and charge it on a stand alone charger to keep your battery 100% Charged.
  • Purchase a battery with the highest ampere hour (Ah) capacity possible, but remember larger capacity must mean larger physical size and or weight.
  • Do not wait until the 'day before the next required usage'.
  • A motor mover takes out much more energy than normal on board appliances. This must be taken into account whenbuying a new battery.
  • Never leave the battery in a partially or fully discharged state.
  • When not in use for a period of over 3 weeks, fully recharge the battery.
  • Always use extreme care when working with batteries, as they contain hazardous substances. Ensure you protect yourself by wearing goggles, rubber gloves and an apron.
  • For recharging, a high quality intelligent 3 stage charger is recommended, this reduces the risk of overcharging the product and damaging the internal components of the battery.
  • Store in a cool dry place in an upright condition.
  • Always reacharge in a well ventilated area.

If you leave your leisure battery in a discharged state, it will cause irreversible damage & shorten the batteries life.

How to measure for the size of your awning

How to measure for the size of your awning

  1. 1. Ensure your caravan is on a level standing.
  2. 2. Get a piece of string or tape measure. Using the string/tape measure, measure from front ground level around the awning rail and back down to the ground level at the back. Take the measurements in centimeters.
